Nasoya's Vegan Dumplings!

I'm super excited to be working with Nasoya, because, well I love Nasoya brand! I think every vegan probably does. I have been able to create so many vegan recipes using their famous tofu and the brand has really been a game changer for me. Then they came out with this new product and I'm like, mind blown.

Vegan dumplings. Can you imagine it? I have been using these dumplings even before Nasoya and I teamed up for this collaboration. As soon as I saw them in the store, I read the ingredients list, saw that they are vegan, did a happy dance, and began creating with them. I have loved making these dumplings as directed on the package (which makes them come out perfectly every time), and also using them in other creative ways like adding a little more water in the last part of the instructions so that they are super soft in texture, adding tomato sauce, and using as vegan ravioli! You can use any liquid you want in the last "steaming" part of the instructions; sometimes I use vegetable broth/ stock or coconut milk. You can make these potsticker style, or really do so many things with them in various dishes. What a super fast and inexpensive product to use in so many different ways!

They come in two flavors so far, right now: tofu vegetable and thai basil vegetable.

Here is the way that I love to enjoy them, with my favorite homemade spicy peanut dipping sauce. You can control the level of spiciness or even leave out the siracha to make this a regular peanut dipping sauce. But before we get to the recipe, I just wanted to talk about Nasoya.

You are probably wondering where to get your hands on these vegan dumplings, right? They are available at retailers like: Stop & Shop, Shaw's, Market Basket, Price Chopper, Big Y, Roche Bros., Dave's, Wegman's, and Hannaford! But my favorite place to get these are Market Basket for sure - you can't beat the low prices, the availability of organic and vegan food products, and I just love that store. So big shoutout to Market Basket! That's actually where I first discovered Nasoya's new vegan dumplings, so super cool of them to be always stocking the latest in vegan foods. Use Nasoya's handy store locator to search for locations to specific products from their brand, and find these dumplings at a store near you!

I hope you get a chance to try these awesome dumplings and to make this uber delicious dipping sauce recipe!

Spicy Peanut Dumpling Dipping Sauce

serves 2

1/4 cup peanut butter

3 tablespoons ketchup

1 tablespoon pure maple syrup

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon prepared mustard

1/4 teaspoon siracha sauce (or to taste)

pinch of dried ginger

pinch black pepper

water to thin sauce out to desired consistency

1 tablespoon peanuts, chopped (optional)

In a medium mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, ketchup, maple syrup, soy sauce, mustard, siracha, ginger and pepper. Add a little water and whisk until creamy. Add the amount of water according to how thick or thin you prefer your dipping sauce to be. Dip is ready when well combined. Sprinkle top with chopped peanuts, if using. Serve alongside vegan dumplings.

I have made this dipping sauce with almond butter when I was in a pinch and ran out of peanut butter, so feel free to experiment with different nut or seed butters. I make these vegan dumplings and dip them with anything really, and even without dip sometimes, they are that good. You can customize my recipe to make a dipping sauce that works for your taste; just adjust spiciness, consistency with more or less water, or even swap out siracha for sweet chili or mustard for spicy mustard - the possibilities are endless!

Huge shoutout to Nasoya for all that they do in the vegan community to ensure we are eating and creating well. Also, big thanks for sending samples and providing a sweet coupon for my readers - you rock! You can follow Nasoya on facebook, twitter, and instagram! And check out their great website too!

And for now, the Dirty Vegan is signing off - I hope your day is as perfect as a vegan dumpling with the tastiest dipping sauce!
